Design is often viewed as a more rigorous form of art, or art with a clearly defined purpose. Creativity is a mental process involving the generation of new ideas or concepts, or new associations between existing ideas or concepts. I believe these two things to naturally consume my hobbies, work, and day-to-day life.

web design

Subtlety, simplicity, and usability. These three things find their way in all of my designs—at least, that's the idea. Firstly, I believe the subtle details to be what makes a design stand out. I do it for myself, but a lot of what I do is only realized and truly appreciated by other designers. Secondly, the break down of any design is the point at which comlexity is introduced. Simplistic designs get the point across and do not get in the way of the purpose. Thirdly, the ease of which a user can interpret and respond to information is known as usability. If a design is not usable, what's the point?

At the end of the day, web design allows me to use creativity and design to challenge conventions and help satisfy my artistic cravings.

photography

The art of using and manipulating the camera and film to produce unique images of reality or formal abstractions. It's also something I'm beginning to take very seriously. Everyone has unique ways of inspiring his or her creativity. I consider the blend of natural colors found in a photograph to be among my top sources for inspiration. Achieving creative expression through the aesthetics of photography has given me yet another medium to qualify my artistic side.

Being an avid user of Adobe Photoshop, my primary focus is on digital photography. Currently, my means to being digital is via the Nikon D80.
