That’s how much the Mac I want would cost. That’s for the 24” display. Although, if I were to get a Mac, I don’t know if I would get a laptop or desktop. A laptop would be nice so I wouldn’t feel so inclined to sit at my desk all the time, but that 24” widescreen would be surreal. I guess that would be a good problem to have.

I’d like a 24”, but I think I’d be pretty happy with the 20”, especially since that would make the jump less noticeable going down to the 17” MacBook Pro.
I have to say, the MacBook Pro is a fantastic laptop, and I pretty much use it all time, even at home – my Windows box disgusts me so I avoid when possible.

Whoa, I wasn’t aware that you had the 17” MacBook Pro… that’s awesome. I think I’d probably go with the 17” laptop, just because I’m too many places. I’m afraid I’d end up like you, hating my Windows machines, deeming them useless. But for now I’ll just keep dreaming.

Yeah, the 17” is huge… and expensive. I have a 2.16 dual core with 2GB of memory and that was about $3k. I mean, it’s my work machine – I didn’t buy it :-p
I’m actually considering just buying a laptop for home, like a little MacBook maybe. Since I just bought a house, though, it may be awhile before I do anything ;-)
